The brief was to design a website that reflects the standing of the chambers while remaining highly practical for its core audience. Unlike many commercial websites, the primary users are legal professionals who need to quickly identify and engage the right barrister for a matter.
The existing approach to many chambers websites often leans either too traditional and difficult to navigate, or too modern and overly styled, which can undermine credibility. The goal here was to find the right balance. The site needed to feel contemporary and accessible, while still maintaining the composure and professionalism expected within the legal sector.
Another key requirement was consistency. With multiple barristers to present, the structure of profile pages needed to be uniform and easy to scan, allowing users to compare experience, practice areas, and qualifications without friction.
