Liberty Pre School
Jimmyweb designed and developed the website for Liberty Pre School, a community-focused, not-for-profit early learning centre in Greenacre that has supported local families for more than 30 years with play-based learning guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. Delivered on WordPress with a fully bespoke design, the project favours warmth, softness, and restraint, using a calm visual tone and authentic imagery that mirrors the welcoming, real-world environment of the preschool itself.
Liberty Pre School is a long-standing, community-focused early learning centre based in Greenacre, supporting local families for more than 30 years. As a not-for-profit, church-based preschool, they offer a nurturing environment grounded in play-based learning and guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. Their approach is centred on care, connection, and development, creating a space where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow.
The brief was to create a website that reflected the real experience of Liberty Pre School. It needed to feel calm, welcoming, and reassuring from the very first interaction. Parents visiting the site are often making an emotional decision as much as a practical one, so the tone had to strike the right balance between warmth and professionalism.
Simplicity was a key requirement. Parents are typically time-poor and looking for clear answers quickly. The site needed to present essential information in a way that felt easy to navigate, without overwhelming users with unnecessary detail or complexity.
There was also an important distinction to maintain in the visual direction. Many childcare websites lean too far into bright, chaotic visuals or overly corporate design. For Liberty Pre School, the goal was to create something that felt modern and considered, while still retaining a human, approachable quality.
What we did
We approached the design with a focus on clarity, softness, and restraint. The layout uses generous spacing and a simple structure, allowing content to be easily digested and reducing any sense of visual noise. This helps create a calm browsing experience that mirrors the environment the preschool offers.
The visual language was carefully balanced to feel contemporary without losing warmth. Typography is clean and legible, supported by a subtle colour palette that reinforces a sense of trust and comfort. Imagery plays an important role, showcasing real moments and authentic interactions rather than relying on generic stock photography.
Navigation was intentionally kept simple and intuitive. Parents can quickly find information about the program, learning environment, and enrolment process without needing to search. Clear pathways guide users through the site, helping them move from initial interest to enquiry with ease.
The overall result is a user-friendly, responsive design that feels thoughtful and grounded. It communicates care and professionalism without needing to overstate it.
The tech stack
The website was delivered with a strong creative direction, supported by a fully bespoke design and custom WordPress build. This ensured the front-end experience aligned closely with the brand, while also providing flexibility behind the scenes.
We developed a content management system that allows the Liberty Pre School team to easily manage and update their content over time. Pages are structured to support clarity while remaining adaptable as their needs evolve.
Through careful speed optimisation and efficient coding practices, the site loads quickly across all devices. This is supported by reliable website hosting and ongoing maintenance and support, ensuring the site continues to perform consistently well.
Bringing It All Together
The final website brings together design, structure, and performance in a way that feels true to Liberty Pre School. It communicates the values of the organisation clearly, without relying on heavy or overly promotional messaging.
Parents visiting the site can quickly understand what the preschool offers, how it operates, and what makes it a trusted choice within the community. The experience feels calm and considered, helping to build confidence from the outset.
Importantly, the site avoids common pitfalls in the sector. It does not feel overly commercial or overly playful. Instead, it sits in a balanced space that reflects both care and capability.
What we loved
We loved how strongly the design aligns with the audience. Every decision, from layout to tone, supports a calm and reassuring experience. It feels natural and easy to use, which is exactly what parents need when exploring early learning options. The restraint in the design is also a standout. By focusing on good design principles such as spacing, hierarchy, and simplicity, the site feels modern without relying on trends.
What they loved
The Liberty Pre School team appreciated how approachable the branding feels online. The website reflects their real-world environment, warm, welcoming, and community-focused.
They also valued the tone of the messaging. It feels reassuring rather than sales-driven, and the design supports that beautifully. The result is a site that feels modern and polished, while still maintaining a genuine sense of warmth.
