Clients with Multiple Sites

Jimmyweb designed and developed the website for Mark Carter, a Melbourne-based keynote speaker, trainer, and coach known for delivering high-impact programs across leadership, sales, and performance, drawing on a background in behavioural science to drive real-world outcomes for corporate audiences. The custom WordPress build draws on confident, typography-led hierarchy and a restrained palette to position Mark as a premium corporate speaker, with a tightly structured user journey that answers who he is, what he does, who it’s for, and what outcomes can be expected within seconds.

Mark Carter is a Melbourne-based keynote speaker, trainer and coach known for delivering high-impact programs across leadership, sales and performance. With a background in behavioural science and a strong focus on real-world outcomes, Mark has built a reputation for helping organisations drive meaningful change, not just short-term motivation. His work spans corporate keynotes, workshops and coaching, with a growing presence across both in-person and digital learning environments.

Mark returned to Jimmyweb to create another website, MC Presents, after this site went live. This ongoing partnership reflects the confidence he has in Jimmyweb, our design approach, and the consistent results we’re able to deliver.

Mark had reached a point where his existing website no longer reflected the level he was operating at. While his reputation and client base had evolved, the digital presence lagged behind. The gap wasn’t just visual, it was perceptual. The site needed to align with the calibre of organisations he was working with and the outcomes he was delivering.

There was also a clarity issue. Like many personal brand websites, the messaging had become diluted over time. Services, audiences and outcomes weren’t being communicated as directly as they could be. For time-poor corporate decision-makers, this creates friction. If the value isn’t clear within seconds, they move on.

The challenge was to create a site that balanced personality with professionalism. It needed to feel confident and engaging, without falling into the clichés often seen in the speaker space. At the same time, it had to support multiple offerings including keynotes, workshops, coaching and digital programs, all while maintaining a simple, intuitive structure.

What we did

We approached the project with a strong focus on positioning. Every design and content decision was guided by a single objective: to present Mark as a premium, credible partner for corporate audiences. This meant stripping away anything unnecessary and focusing on clarity, structure and tone.

The design direction leans heavily on typography and spacing to create presence. Large, confident headings establish hierarchy and guide users through the page, while a restrained colour palette keeps the overall feel refined and controlled. High-quality imagery was used to reinforce personality without overwhelming the content.

From a UX perspective, the site is structured to answer key questions quickly. Who is Mark, what does he do, who is it for, and what outcomes can be expected. Services are clearly segmented, allowing users to navigate directly to what’s relevant to them, while strategically placed testimonials and client proof points build trust at the right moments.

The overall experience is designed to feel seamless. There is a natural flow from introduction through to validation and enquiry, supported by clear calls to action that are present without being intrusive. The result is a site that feels confident, easy to use and commercially focused.

The tech stack

The website was custom designed and built on WordPress, giving the flexibility to create a tailored experience without compromise. This approach allows for complete control over layout, performance and scalability, while keeping content management simple and accessible for the client.

Alongside the build, we provide ongoing website hosting, maintenance and support. This ensures the site remains secure, up to date and performing reliably over time, with the flexibility to evolve as the business grows.

Performance optimisation

The site has been carefully optimised for speed across both desktop and mobile devices. Fast load times improve usability, reduce bounce rates and contribute positively to search engine visibility. By focusing on performance from the ground up, the site delivers a smooth, responsive experience that supports both engagement and conversion.

Bringing It All Together

The finished website represents a clear step forward in how Mark Carter is positioned online. It brings his brand, experience and offering into alignment, creating a digital presence that matches the level he is already operating at. The design is confident without being overbearing, and the messaging is direct without losing personality.

More importantly, the site works as a commercial tool. It builds trust quickly, communicates value clearly and supports high-quality enquiries from the right audience. Rather than trying to appeal to everyone, it speaks directly to corporate decision-makers, reinforcing Mark’s position as a premium provider.

What we loved

From a design and UX perspective, every element is working toward a single goal, positioning the client as a premium, credible speaker for corporate audiences. The typography-led design, clear content hierarchy and well-paced user journey reduce friction and build trust quickly, while strategically placed proof points and calls to action support conversion. It’s a site that doesn’t just look good, but actively works to elevate perception and drive better commercial outcomes.

What they loved

Mark described the new website as feeling like a new suit.

It fits where his business is today, presents him at a higher level and gives him confidence sending it to corporate clients. He particularly valued the clarity of the messaging and how easily people can now understand what he does and the outcomes he delivers.
