Built on Symfony rather than a standard CMS to support its logic-driven, step-based functionality, the platform takes a conversion-focused approach, guiding users through a clean, linear journey that captures structured information and reduces friction for both customer and business.

Jimmyweb originally designed the Shire Skylights website, and the client then returned to create additional websites, including Skylight Installations and Quote My Skylight. This ongoing partnership reflects the confidence they have in Jimmyweb, the design approach, and the results delivered.
The core challenge was not simply to design a website, but to rethink how the quoting process itself works. Traditionally, skylight quotes involve multiple touchpoints, including phone calls, emails, and site visits, often leading to delays and inconsistent information.
The goal was to create a more efficient system that reduces friction for both the customer and the business. This meant simplifying the process without oversimplifying the decision, ensuring users could provide meaningful information while still feeling guided and supported.

What We Did

The UX is intentionally linear, breaking the journey into simple steps that are easy to follow. Each stage introduces information progressively, allowing users to move forward without feeling overwhelmed. This reduces cognitive load and encourages completion, particularly for users unfamiliar with skylight terminology.
Visually, the design is clean and focused. Unnecessary distractions have been removed, allowing users to concentrate on the task at hand. The interface feels approachable and intuitive, with clear pathways and consistent feedback that reinforces progress throughout the journey.
We also ensured the platform remained aligned with the broader brand ecosystem, creating a sense of continuity and trust. While the functionality is more system-driven, the design still feels connected to the overall Shire Skylights experience.
