Sarah Shields PR
Jimmyweb designed and developed the website for Sarah Shields PR, a boutique public relations agency specialising in luxury travel and tourism, working with some of Australia’s most iconic destinations, lodges, and tourism operators. Custom designed and built on WordPress, the site takes a refined, travel-led approach rather than a typical agency aesthetic, leaning on immersive photography, generous spacing, and a deliberate, unhurried pace that positions the founder-led agency within the same premium ecosystem as its clients.
Sarah Shields PR is a boutique public relations agency specialising in luxury travel and tourism. Working with some of Australia’s most iconic destinations, lodges and tourism operators, the business is known for its highly personalised approach, deep industry relationships and ability to position brands within the premium travel space. Unlike larger agencies, Sarah Shields PR is deliberately selective, offering a more considered, hands-on service that reflects the calibre of clients it represents.
The brief was to design and develop a website that accurately reflected the quality of the brands Sarah Shields PR works with. A key challenge was to avoid the typical agency aesthetic. Many PR and marketing websites rely on bold claims, dense service listings and overly corporate design patterns. This approach would have worked against the positioning of Sarah Shields PR, which needed to feel refined, editorial and aligned with the travel industry rather than the marketing industry.
Another important consideration was audience alignment. The website needed to naturally attract higher-value, well-established tourism brands while discouraging low-budget enquiries. This required a careful balance between clarity and restraint, ensuring the site communicated expertise and capability without feeling overly sales-driven.
Finally, the site needed to feel personal. As a founder-led business, it was important that the website reflected Sarah’s direct involvement, experience and relationships, rather than presenting the business as a large, impersonal agency.
What We Did
We approached the project with a strong focus on positioning through design. Rather than relying on heavy copy or overt messaging, the website was crafted to communicate its value immediately through visual tone, pacing and structure. The result is a calm, editorial-style experience that aligns closely with the luxury travel brands the agency represents.
Imagery plays a central role throughout the site. Large, immersive photography creates an immediate emotional connection and establishes a sense of quality from the outset. By allowing the client’s destinations and projects to take centre stage, the design reinforces credibility without the need for excessive explanation. This approach helps position Sarah Shields PR as part of the same premium ecosystem as its clients.
The layout and user experience were intentionally restrained. Generous spacing, clear hierarchy and predictable navigation create a smooth, considered browsing experience. Each section is designed to flow naturally into the next, allowing users to explore at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed. This slower, more deliberate rhythm supports the brand’s positioning and encourages deeper engagement.
We also ensured the site maintained a strong sense of personality. The content structure and design choices highlight the founder-led nature of the business, creating a more human and approachable experience. This helps build trust early and supports the relationship-driven nature of the service offering.
The Tech Stack
The website was custom designed and built on WordPress, providing a flexible and scalable platform tailored to the client’s needs. The build allows for easy content management, enabling the client to update projects, imagery and content as the business evolves.
The site is fully responsive, ensuring a seamless experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Ongoing website hosting, maintenance and support are provided to ensure the site remains secure, up to date and performing reliably over time.
Performance Optimisation
The website has been speed optimised to ensure fast load times across all devices. Given the heavy use of high-quality imagery, careful optimisation was essential to maintain performance without compromising visual impact. Strong performance supports both usability and search engine visibility, helping the site function effectively as a long-term digital asset.
Bringing It All Together
The final result is a website that feels aligned with the calibre of brands Sarah Shields PR represents. Every element, from imagery and typography through to layout and pacing, works together to create a cohesive and refined digital presence. The site avoids unnecessary complexity and instead focuses on clarity, tone and emotional impact.
Importantly, the website is not just visually appealing. It plays a strategic role in shaping perception, helping to position the business as a trusted partner within the luxury travel space. By communicating quality and confidence from the first interaction, the site supports stronger, more aligned client enquiries.
What We Loved
The design does not try to compete for attention or rely on trends. Instead, it uses space, imagery and structure to create a confident and enduring experience. It is a strong example of how thoughtful design can elevate positioning and improve the quality of engagement without needing to overcomplicate the solution.
What They Loved
The client loved how accurately the website reflects their business and the clients they work with. The site feels premium, personal and aligned with the travel industry, which has led to stronger, more relevant enquiries. Just as importantly, it is a site they are proud to share, knowing it represents their brand at the level it deserves.
